SpringTide’s transportation packages are easy to use and a convenient way to travel between Vancouver and Victoria. SpringTide staff will do all the arranging for you.

SpringTide’s Flight and Ferry Package provides beautiful views from the window of your floatplane as you fly over Vancouver and the Gulf Islands. This travel method is simple to use, exhilarating, and the quickest way to arrive into Victoria. The Ferry ride back to Vancouver takes you through some very lovely islands and waterways and is also a terrific end to you visit here in Victoria.

To start your day, you will find your way to the Float Plane Terminal in Vancouver (located at the foot of Burrard Street). You may wish to take a cab (your own cost) to the Terminal – usually only a 5-10 minute cab ride from most downtown Vancouver hotels (depending of course on location and traffic conditions).

You must check in at the Terminal 25 minutes before flight time, with picture ID. You are allowed 25 pounds of carryon luggage. Your tickets have been prearranged by SpringTide, so please do not worry about “paperwork”! Your Flight is 35 minutes long and will land in downtown Victoria. You then check in at our office which is only a 5 minute walk from the Terminal.

Your whale excursion will have you out on the ocean for about 3 hours, with you checking in with us 30 minutes prior for trip preparation. It is at this time we will provide you with your Bus and Ferry Ticket for your return to Vancouver. These tickets are “open-ended”, allowing for flexibility to extend your stay here in our lovely town should you wish!

When you decide it is time to return to Vancouver (for example, let us have you leave on the 6 pm Bus), you simply check in at the Pacific Coach Lines Terminal (700 Douglas Street ~ about a 10 -15 minute walk from our office) by 5:30, and board their 6 pm Bus which will take you to the BC Ferry Terminal. You, along with the Bus, will board the 7 pm Ferry for a very scenic 1 hour 35 minute voyage to the Mainland. By the way, you can leave the coach, enjoy the ride, a gift shop and perhaps have dinner on board! It is now 8:35, and you will return to your Bus, and depart the Ferry for downtown Vancouver. Arrival at the Vancouver Bus Depot is approximately 1 hour later. There are limited times which offer a shuttle service directly to the downtown hotels, or simply use a taxi service and go directly to your hotel – certainly a much faster option.
